The leader of UK is Queen Elizabeth II

Elizabeth’s reign is the longest ever


known in Britain. Her image is on
banknotes, coins and stamps. Her
house is called Buckingham Palace. An
interesting fact is that if the flag flies
on the top of palace it means that the
Queen is at home.
Also she is the queen of Canada, New
Zealand, Australia and other 12
independent countries.
Big Ben – a famous clock

It is not actually a famous clock but it


is also a big bell, that sounds at each
sharp o’clock.
It is the biggest, most accurate four-
faced striking and chiming clock in the
world.” The Elizabeth’s tower has its
165th anniversary.
London – capital of UK

7 million people visit London every


year. It is the first country where was
inaugurated the first subway system.
It is considered to be the second
largest town in the world and the
biggest in European Union.
It is divided into 33 independent
regions.
The Tower of Bridge is considered the
biggest bridge across the Tames. It
opens and ships go up and down the
river.
London Eye
It is a giant wheel situated near the
river Thames in London. It has 135
metres high and you can see the
whole town from its top. Each of the
32 ovoidal capsules weighs 10 tonnes
and can carry 25 people.

London Bus
The London Bus is one of London's
principal icons, symbol. The majority
of buses in London are still red and
therefore the red double-decker bus.
