The assignment model in the form of person- job matrix
is show below:
Persons
Jobs A B C D
1 10 20 18 14
2 15 25 9 25
3 30 19 17 12
4 19 24 20 10

1 0 10 8 4
2 6 16 0 16
3 18 7 5 0
4 9 14 10 0

Step 2: Reduction of Columns
Repeat the column containing zero, choose the least
number in each column and subtract it from numbers
of the same column
Persons
Jobs A B C D
1 0 3 8 4
2 6 9 0 16
3 18 0 5 0
4 9 7 10 0
4
Step 3: Assignment: machine for each worker
Assign zero values in rows containing one zero, then cross over
double zeros in columns
Persons
Jobs A B C D
1 0 3 8 4
2 6 9 0 16
3 18 0 5 0X
4 9 7 10 0

Step 4: Assignment: machine for each worker
All rows = All columns = all lines
Persons
Jobs A B C D
1 0 3 8 4
2 6 9 0 16
3 18 0 5 0X
4 9 7 10 0

Step 5: Report
7
If we have two zeros at the same row or column we
seek an alternative solution

In Marcov analysis we look at a sequence of
events, and analyze the tendency of one event
to be followed by another.

A 0.7 0.2 0.1
A B C
B 0.2 0.6 0.2
[0.5 0.3 0.2]
C 0.3 0.2 0.5
COMPUTATION
0.7 (0.5) + 0.2(0.3) + 0.3(0.2)
= 0.35 + 0.06 + 0.06 = 0.47 (A)
0.2(0.5) + 0.6(0.3) + 0.2(0.2)
= 0.10 + 0.18 + 0.04 = 0.32 (B)
0.1(0.5) + 0.2(0.3) + 0.5(0.2)
= 0.05 + 0.06 + 0.10 = 0.21 (C)
Note: 0.47 + 0.32 + 0.21 = 1 19

A B C
B 0.2 0.6 0.2
[0.47 0.32 0.21]
C 0.3 0.2 0.5
COMPUTATION of Next Year
0.7 (0. 47) + 0.2(0. 32) + 0.3(0. 21)
0.329 + 0.064 + 0.063= 0.456 (A)
0.2(0. 47) + 0.6(0. 32) + 0.2(0. 21)
= 0.094 + 0.192 + 0.042= 0.328 (B)
0.1(0. 47) + 0.2(0. 32) + 0.5(0. 21)
= 0.456 + 0.328 + 0.260= 0.216 (C)
Note: 0.456 + 0.328 + 0.216 = 1 20
