 In the mentoring process, the mentor and the
mentee/teacher enter into a partnership, plan for
success.

• Firm yet flexible
The professional skills of the
mentors are:
1. a desire to help people gain insights into how they
think;
2. a proven track record of working with others and the
ability to recognize their needs and problems;
3. ability to work with others of different social and ethnic
background; and command the confidence of all
sectors;

• The Mentee
The mentee is to be open to the process, to
commit to the relationship, and to continue
learning.
• The Mentor
The mentor is that of a guide, supporter,
friend, advocate and role model.

reflect on the wide range of learning opportunities available
to attain their personal and professional goals.
