• A PRIORITY CONTROL IS GENERALLY USED FOR INTERSECTIONS OF MINOR AND MAJOR

ROADS. AT PRIORITY INTERSECTIONS, THE SIDE ROAD(S) HAS EITHER A ‘GIVE WAY’ OR
A ‘STOP’ CONTROL. AN UNCONTROLLED INTERSECTION IS GENERALLY USED WHERE LOW
ORDER ROADS MEET IN AT INTERSECTION, NO CONTROL IS IMPLEMENTED AND NORMAL
GIVE WAY RULES APPLY.
• PRIORITY TO THE RIGHT, IS A RIGHT-OF-WAY SYSTEM, IN WHICH THE DRIVER OF A
VEHICLE IS REQUIRED TO GIVE WAY TO VEHICLES APPROACHING FROM THE RIGHT AT
INTERSECTIONS.

If you see a stop sign
or a face of a stop line
you must come in a
complete stop at the
intersection. After
stopping you must give
way to any vehicle in
entering or
approaching the
intersection.
If you see a give
way sign or give
way line you must
give way in
entering or
approaching the
intersection.
· You don't have to give way if there is on
coming vehicle turning right. The vehicle
turning right must give way to you.
· You don't have to give way if there is
vehicle making a u-turn, the vehicle
making the u-turn must give way to you.
· At T- intersections you must give way
to vehicles traveling along the continuing
road
