AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT & PERFORMANCE BASED
Definitions
Authentic assessment is working with real-world tasks that demonstrate meaningful
application of essential knowledge and skills.
Performance based is and alternative form of assessment that moves away from
traditional paper and pencil test. It involves having the students produce a project,
whether it is oral, written or in a group performance.
PARAPROFESSIONAL ROLES
Paraprofessional roles vary depending in the needs of the student they are working
with. Some paraprofessional work in classrooms, while some may be assigned to a
particular student one on one, to assess.
Examples
•Pre test
•Observation
•Interviews
•Feedback to the student and teacher
