ABSTRACT
In recent years mobile computing has been emerged to adopt
commercial activities such as paying bills , booking tickets and
shopping.
The classification of type of message in mobile messaging
apps(Whatsapp,Wechat)is very important for controlling internet
traffic and efficient usage of internet data traditional service
classification usage technique uses packet by packet inspection
method to classify the type of message. This take more time and more
resources for computation.
To reduce the classification time the proposed method uses hybrid
features like user behavioural pattern ,network traffic characteristics
and temporal dependencies. There are four modules in this system
including traffic segmentation, traffic feature extraction, service
usage prediction, and outlier detection and handling. Proposed
system first segment Internet traffic from traffic-flows into sessions
with a number of dialogs in a hierarchical way.
ARCHITECTURE
ADVANTAGE:-

 Less power consumption.

 Less classification time
 More security.
 More accuracy.
DISADVANTAGE:-

Need of additional time and power.

 Internet traffic rely on packet inspection.
EXISTING SYSTEM

 Use packet by packet inspection.

 Support by HTTP,POP3 and SSL.
 Need of additional resource.
 Reconstructing protocol signatures in its payload.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
 Introduce CUMMA method
 Support classification algorithm is HMM(Hidden Marco Mod
 Avoid network traffic and power consumption.
 Traffic segmentation and feature extraction.
 Service usage prediction,
 Outlier detection and handling
ALGORITHM
 Two kinds of methods:-
 From session to new document.
 From session to dialog, to perform traffic segmentation.
Two kinds of features:-
 The sequence of packet lengths
 Time delay
 To predict usage types, this step exploit the classification
based methods.
Hidden Markov Model
 The previous classified dialogs to train the HMM model and
exploit this trained HMM model to predict the usage types.
Modules
 Traffic segmentation
 Traffic feature extraction
 Service usage prediction
 Outlier detection and handling
Traffic segmentation
 To collect the network traffic data of different usages in
messaging Apps using the data collection platform.
 To perform two-stage segmentation with these traffic flows
from coarse-grained level named session to fine-grained
level named dialog.
 In this Module, we develop a two-stage algorithm:
 from traffic-flow to session
 from session to dialog
Traffic feature extraction
 Internet traffic of a dialog encodes two
kinds of information:
 sequence of packet lengths and
 sequence of time delays.
Usage Type Prediction
 To capture the characteristics of different usage types
we include classifier.
 Avoid the temporal dependencies between consecutive
dialogs and treat these segmented dialogs as a set of
independent training instances.
 All the features are mapped and scaled to real type
values in order to fit a classifier.
 To differ many dialogs of single usage type, such as text,
stream video call, news feed, etc
Outlier Detection and Handling
 In this module, we have to remove the
unknown usages from the classifier.
 Outlier is categorized as network error,
anomalous dialog.
 To differentiate these true outliers only based
on packet length and time delay related
features.
