Case Scenario:

An 8 year old girl got home complaining about having a


toothache after eating chocolates and candies in the
school. "Mommy masakit po ang ngipin ko" as said by
the girl. Her mother brought her to the dentist only to
find out that she has a toothdecay, swelling of the gums
and have high temperature. "Hindi rin po kase siya
palaging nagsisipilyo ng ngipin niya at mahilig talaga
siya sa mga chocolates and candies" the mother said to
the dentist.
Subjective Cues:

•"Mommy masakit po ngipin ko" as verbalized by


the 8 year old girl.
•"Hindi rin po kase siya palaging nagsisipilyo ng
ngipin niya at mahilig talaga siya sa mga chocolates
and candies" as verbalized by the mother.

Objective Cues:

•toothdecay
•swelling of the gums
•high temperature
•grimacing
Learning Diagnosis

The child must be able to:


•Know how to brush her teeth
•Know the importance of dental hygiene

Pain related to tooth decay


Lack of knowledge on dental care
