manipulate people. Inventories can be managed but
people must be lead.

• Construct a quote that gives advice on the


concept of leadership.

• Situation:
• You and your friends are stranded on an island far away from
civilization. On this island there are six trees with many
different type of fruit. Each different type of fruit hold one
leadership characteristic for becoming successful in life.

person in life.
• You have five mins for your group to make an argument to you

• Should be brief ½ page

• Position you are applying for.
• Outline your key selling points.
• Address the needs of your employer.
• Invite employer to contact you.
Job Interview
• Cover letter sent in to assist in establishing an interview
date.
• Follow-up phone call is typically recommended to secure
interview.
• Resume is sent with cover letter. Typically suggested that
the individual bring a copy of resume to the interview as
well.
• Individual should dress in professional attire.
• Prepare for the interview and application process.
Job Interview

• Practice common questions asked during an interview.


• What are your three greatest attributes or strengths?
• What are your three biggest weaknesses or things you would like to
improve upon?
• Where do you want to be in five years?
• What leadership qualities can you bring to our company?
• Why are you the best candidate for job?
Job Interview

• Gather information typically requested during the


application process.
• General Applicant Information- name, date of birth, address, email,
phone.
• Education- name of school attended, degree obtained, graduation
date, etc.
• Previous Work Experience- dates employed, address, name of
supervisor, etc.
• References- name, address, phone, email.

• Create your own Personal Resume


• Should be no more that 1 page in length.
• Include all information from notes
• Should be neat and clean and full (Sell Yourself!)
• Should include a current Objective and Three Professional
