Environmental benefits

A bamboo clump is a 5000 liter

holding water tank.

50 tons of carbon dioxide Bamboo can yield up 50 tons of

TWICE THE CULMS PER HECTARE.

4 TIMES MORE PRODUCTIVE.

Bamboo’s supply the strongest
timber fibres in world.

The applications are endless…

It all starts with the empowering

EBF published this book in 2012
as a foundation to the bamboo
village process…

Starting January 2017 we are

working with CIFOR, ICRAF and
FOERDIA to update and improve it.
The Bamboo village model demands that Industry purchase a semi
finished good.

1. 300 Hectares

The forestry model for a Bamboo village:

1. 70,000 Plantlings
2. Planted on +/- 2000 hectare
3. On average 35 Clumps per hectare
(agroforestry model).
The forestry model for a Bamboo village:

Harvest yields:

6 Poles per clump, After year 7 to year 10 (36 culms in a mature clump)

10 Poles per clump per year after year 10.

It Starts with a Nursery:
We Plant 70,000 plantlings in a 10 hectare nursery.

2-3 years in nursery.

Target height: 5 meters.

Is irrigated and given nutrient on a weekly basis.
