(2)Check each leaf for cracks by visually inspecting it
and by means of the sound it makes when it is hit
with a check hammer.
(3)Install caster shims so that thinner ones are facing
forward.

FRONT CASTER SHIM

(4)The use of too many leaves in the leaf spring will
raise the propeller shaft bending angle and
produce vibration and noise.
(5)When the leaf spring is disassembled, apply a layer
of chassis grease between the leaves.
(6)Before removing a shock absorber, feel the bottom
with your hand;
if there is no oil leakage and it is warm, you can
assume that it is functioning normally.
(7)Remove the shock absorber and extend and contract it.
If there is a large resistance in the extending direction,
you can assume that it is functioning normally.
(8)On a vehicle that uses torque rods, replace a cracked
bush using a press.

(1)What might cause the leaf spring to break?

Overloading, traveling on rough road, cracking due to

salt water or rust.
(2)What might cause the leaf spring to break?

Axle shifting, side travel(crab), uneven tire wear.

(3) What is effective for eliminating leaf spring squeaking
noise?

Applying grease and oil between the leaves.
