 The Effect of Carica
Papaya and
Citrofortunella
Microcarpa on Selected
Grade 8 students
INTRODUCTION
▪ In this research, we conceptualized our study base
on the common problems in our environment and
one of those problems is the rash breakout. A rash
is defined as a widespread eruption of skin lesions.
It is a very broad medical term. Rashes can vary in
appearance greatly, and there are many potential
causes like allergies, diseases, reactions, and
medications. They can also be caused by bacterial,

fungal, viral, or parasitic infections.
INTRODUCTION
▪ We will use carica papaya and citrofortunella
microcarpa to ease the itch and reduce the rash.
(Carica papaya of the family Caricaceae, the papaya
family) having an oblong to globose yellow edible fruit
with numerous black seeds in a central cavity also :
its fruit.The proteolytic enzyme papain makes
papaya an effective treatment for acne. Apart from
the fruit itself, the leaves, skin, and seeds also
contain certain enzymes that can diminish scars and 4
blemishes
 INTRODUCTION
▪ Citrofortunella microcarpa is very abundant and one of
the sources of staple fruit juice in the Philippines. It is
grown principally for its fruit juice, since it is widely
known as good source of Vitamin C. Being a citrus fruit,
Calamansi plays a key role in lightening the darkened
skin. It has strong acid content, which works directly on
the dark spots, rejuvenates the cells present in that
area and turns them into whiter or clearer ones. In other
words, it acts as a natural bleaching agent for our skin 5

antioxidants giving the skin the
moisture and protection it needs.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
▪ This study specifically aimed to seek the
following:
▪ 1.Are the effects of the ointment visible during
the observation?
▪ 2.Are the ingredients of the ointment safe for
any type of skin?
▪ 3. Are the effects of the ointment visible 7

during the observation?

HYPOTHESIS
▪ There is no significant effect that
can be seen on the ointment for the
selected grade 8 students. The
effects of the ointment are visible
and can be seen during the process
and are acceptable 8
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
 To replenish and cleanse the skin
infected with rashes
 To cleanse and moisturize the
infected skin
 To make an ointment that is
indigenous and helpful to people 9
