How to make a product ?
Steps 1
Collecting Raw Material / Clay
• Clay is taken from the fields, then transported by vehicle to the
processing site.
• In this processing place, clay is put into a stirring machine.
• Then, the clay is stirred until it is homogeneous and ready to be formed.
Step 2
Shaping
• Craftsmen just use the homogeneous clay lumps, then shape it as
desired.
• The most basic ceramic formation technique is the rotary technique. This
technique has a high degree of difficulty, craftsmen need to train the
fingers to form a feeling in forming ceramics.
• Pottery is formed on a turntable. Through this technique a variety of
traditional ceramic pottery is formed such as plates, bowls, flower vases
and more.
Step 3
Drying
Ceramics are decorated like pasted or carved. After that, the ceramic is
aerated for about 2-3 days.
Step 4
Burning
Burning is done in high-temperature furnace until the ceramics become
biscuit-like. The biscuit-like ceramics are burnt in the range of 700◦ –
1000◦C.
