 Dharumithra is a sanskrit word “Dharu” means tree, “Mithra” means
friend is all about promoting and preserving green.
 Every year thousands of tons of waste are generated due to use of
disposable table ware made from plastic and Styrofoam. The need of
the hour is to make products that are biodegradable and/or can be
easily recycled for future use.
 So with the aim to NOW NOT JUST, CONSUME GREEN

 We offer Areca Nut Leaf Plates in various shapes like hexagonal,
rectangular and circular shapes. These plates are non-odorous and
hence do not contaminate the flavor of the food. The highly
oxygenated areca leaves allows fruits and raw vegetables to remain
fresh for a long time. Our areca leaf plates will be applicable in fast-
food centers, hotels & restaurants, parties and weddings.
Areca Leaf Plates or Bio plates are made from
the shredded leaves of the Areca Palm Tree.
No trees are chopped or cut at any stage
during the making process and only
shredded areca leaves are used to make
this products.

 Areca Leaf plates are a chemical free disposable product which is
fully biodegradable in a short period of time. No chemicals, resins,
strengthening agents or synthetic materials are used in the
manufacturing process.
 The material does not react with the food and will not add any
additional taste to food served.
 All manner of wet foods can be served without the plate or bowl
becoming soggy and losing its integrity and the areca leaf plates
can be washed and used again for a limited time depending on how
they are used.
 Areca leaf plates are a economical replacement for thermocol
paper and plastics disposables.
 PRODUCTION PROCESS

 The Arecanut Sheaths (Leafs) fallen from trees in the farms are
collected.
 Then it is soaked in water. While in water it is brushed and cleaned
and purified.
 After cleaning it is kept separately allowing it to dry.
 The dried sheaths are inserted in heat pressing machine (Manual
operated & Hydralic operated) where relevant shape metal mould
fixed and pressed on the sheath to get different shapes & sizes.
 And is again kept separately allowing to dry completely.
 The Plates are trimmed and again cleaned.
 The products undergo a final inspection and are packed in bags.
Waste Disposal:

 Food plates thrown after eating will be naturally

degraded within 60 days of time like any plant
matter.
 Manufacturing waste of Areca sheaths will be
used for vermin compost, dry fodder for animals,
bio-fuel bricks.
 Major Markets For Areca Leaf Plates

 First quality plates will be targeted for International

market
 Second quality plates will be targeted to local markets
like dealers, super market, restaurants and caterer.
Areca Plates can be used in any occasion like parties,
buffets, picnics, outdoor catering, functions, food-joint,
temples. This product is having a good market in
Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Tamilnadu.
These plates act as the best alternative for plastics and
