information to other nerve cells using key words/terms; b. Draw a neuron and label its parts; and c. Communicate appropriately and respectfully. Listen attentively Raise your hand when you want to ask or answer Answer appropriately Respect others as you respect yourself Sensory Neuron or Afferent Neuron: Moving away from a central organ or point. Relays messages from receptors to the brain or spinal cord. Motor Neuron or Efferent Neuron – Moving toward a central organ or point. Relays messages from the brain or spinal cord to the muscles and organs. Interneurons- Relay message from sensory neuron to motor neuron. Make up the brain and spinal cord. 1. Students will be divided into four groups. 2. Each group will be divided into sensory neuron and motor neuron sub-group. 3. Three members will be assigned as the Brain, the Receptor and the Effector. 4. The Receptor will receive a closed envelope with written question in which he/she will read aloud. 5. The Receptor will pass the envelop to the Sensory Neuron 1. 6. Sensory Neuron 1 will pass the envelop to the next till it reaches the Brain. 7. The Brain will open the envelop and pass it to the motor neuron. 8. Motor neuron will pass it to the next till it reaches the Effector. 9. The Effector will do in action the message that was written inside the envelop. 10. The quickest group to complete the relay will win the game. Time starts when the Receptor reads the message.
