MABR

MABR: Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor

Why MABR?
 Reduced energy consumption
 Bubble-less aeration
 Decentralized solution
 High effluent quality enabling water reuse
 Ideal for small-medium sized plants treating domestic sewage
 Modular structure enabling gradual expansion

Fluence MABR Element - Unique Design
 Air is supplied to a long spirally wound sleeve of oxygen
permeable material
 An Air spacer inside the sleeve is designed to allow minimal
resistance to air flow through the sleeve
 The element is submerged in the mixed liquor
 Wastewater circulate across the spiral through a water spacer, in
constant contact with the outer surface of the sleeve
One
 Aerobic bacteria develop on the surface of the sleeve and treat
the wastewater
spirally
Reliable and economical: wound
 Durable materials of long
construction sleeve
 High packing density
 Very high oxygen permeability
 Low air pressure
9
 Can work at high MLSS reactor
