What is Non Conventional
Energy?

Non Conventional Energy is an

energy that comes from
resources which are naturally
restored on a human timescale.

Sources of non conventional energy

 Solar Energy
 Wind Energy
 Tidal Energy
 Geothermal Energy
Traditional ways of utilization of non conventional energy

SOLAR ENERGY WIND ENERGY GEOTHERMAL

 Solar Panels  Wind Pump ENERGY

 Solar Cookers  Electricity  Space Heaters

 Solar generating wind  Water Heaters

Photovoltaic mills  Heat Pumps
Cells
But What We Can Do?
INVELOX
What is INVELOX?

 INVELOX is an advanced system for utilization of wind energy.

 This project was developed by SHEERWIND COMPANY in Netherland
associated with Govt. Of Netherland.
 It produces 6 times more energy than traditional systems like wind
turbines.
 Funnel shaped system captures wind flowing from all directions and
gradually transfers it to the turbine generators.

HOW INVELOX WORKS

▪ COLLECTION &
CONCENTRATION
▪ SPEED INCREMENT
▪ ENERGY
CONVERSION
▪ AIR DIFFUSION
WHY INVELOX ?

Invelox Wind mill

A. Safe working & handeling A. Dangerous
B. More efficient B. Low efficient
C. Low price C. High cost
D. Long life D. Low life
E. More power generation E. Less power generation
WATTWAY
WHAT IS WATTWAY?

▪ Colas Construction and French National Solar Energy

Institute has developed in partnership a mind blowing
idea of production of electrical energy by appropriate
use of solar energy wholly called as WATTWAY.
▪ It is basically photovoltaic pavement road which
converts solar energy in electrical energy
▪ French Govt. has been undertaken these project and
has been working on it to make it commercial.
Construction

▪ One pavement of wattway

consists 28 solar cells
covered with polycrystalline
silicon.
▪ They are glued on the road
surface
▪ Energy from each panel is
then stored in the
powerhouse and then
distributed further

KEY FEATURES

 Only 10% of the overall time the roads are occupied by the
cars and rest of the plenty time they are in explosure.
 4m road can supply electricity to the entire house and 1km
road can supply electricity for a small town for a entire day.
 These project has been proved to be very effective and has
overcomed the problems of nearby small villages.
 It does not occupy more area and is cheap.
 It has low and very easy maintainance.
Conclusion

▪ Modern trades ▪ More cheaper ▪ Thus we can

are more than traditional replace
effective and energy traditional
efficient than sources. process to the
traditional modern trends
