 INTRODUCTION
"Engineers like to solve problem. If they have no problem handily
available, they will create their own problem"
We now live in technological era where we get everything merely
by switching the electronic device. Now we have reached even the
planet sun. Anything and everything is engineered to make human
lives more easy and comfortable. Now we can do virtually
everything online. Through technology we can spread education,
we can track the minuscule movement through a remote sensing
satellite, we can even save precious human lives by genetically
engineering. Life is so easy now a days but wait, wait , wait isn't
there any engineering challenge in this knowledge era.
Yes there are plethora of challenges which modern engineering is
facing. Some of the most challenging are:
CHANGING OF ERA
IMPACT ON ECOSYSTEM
 The biggest challenge engineers are facing now is the
impact of science on the ecosystem.

 Now the engineers have the biggest challenge to

develop clean and green energy through cutting edge
technology and cost reduction.
EXISTENCE OF HUMAN RACE
 Nuclear energy may be one of the greatest discoveries of
engineers but wait , it could decimate the whole human
race merely by few tons of uranium loaded shell.
 We could not tolerate a chemical weapon in a civil war
like Syria.
ENERY CONSUMPTION
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

This high frequency word is also a major challenge

for the engineers .They have to invent certain
technology which will efficiently utilize the
resources without compromising the future needs.
Resource reduction through subtle technology must
be accentuated so that our future generation will
live more comfortably.
ELIMINATION OF DISEASES
Though this heading may be placed under the medical
science but genetically and bio medical engineering also
have a major role to play in saving the human lives.
ACESS OF TECHNOLOGY TO EVERYONE
 Though science grew leaps and bounds everyone is not
reaping the benefits. A child living in slum isn't able to
use Internet because of high cost like wise people living
in remote villages of African countries are not getting the
benefits of advancement of medical science, they are still
dying of trivial and small diseases .Engineers have the
greatest challenge to make it affordable and accessible to
everyone.
