Area : 3.0 Hectare
Mariani Range under Jorhat Forest
Division, Jorhat
•Till now: 84 species has been cultivated

•Target: Above 100 in this 2017-18 scheme

•Actually of total 3 Ha. area, 1.5 Ha. plantation

has been done

Some of the innovative techniques that I
learned from the nursery:

•Sand must be levelled for hard growing


species.
•Cockpit is prepared in the following
manner:
One night it is kept shrink and one day
it is kept dry.
Same amount of soil and same amount
of cockpit is mixed.
•After laying they are rolled by bamboo rolls.
•For every three months, siding of species
should be done.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
•From 10 kg. Mahaneem seeds, almost 5000
species are germinated within a very small
time.

•This nursery has acclaimed a lot of fame for


the adopted cultivation techniques with less
manpower in such a huge plantation area.
