Setting
Alexandre Dumas’s setting for “The Three Musketeers” is
in the rolling countryside of France as well as the growing
city of Paris. The time period for these heroes is the 17th
Century. In those times men rode gallant steeds and took
the lives of their adversaries with swords, pistols and
muskets. In a time when Kings and Queens reigned none
could match the lethal might of France’s Musketeers. This
is a tale about a young man in search of glory who
struggles to make his way in the world of a soldier.
