We learn How To Upload GNE(gateway MW Device and non Gate-way MW Device) and how to configure Services(e-LINE)

“G” Gateway Network Element. ‘G’ stands for Gateway:-

Where MW device is connected to Switch/Router for NMS
visibility.

NON-gateway network Element

Poni-1 We should have NE ID and NE IP for both A end(POP end) B end( Customer end) MW devices, as example below.

NE ID. 151 is
extended ID, 32210 is
NE ID

NE IP

Point-2 We need to get NE ID and IP for BOTH end MW device, Normally we get this from Liquid Service delivery
manager/Installation contractor.
Once you get NE ID and NE IP Try to ping Gateway IP address from NMS.

Step-1 Right click on any GNE, go to Tool and click PING.

Step-2 Put the IP Address of GNE and try to PING. But please make
sure that MW GNE and switch/Router are connect with each other.

Step-3 In this case we are not able to ping GNE, and getting 100%
Packet loss, It means connectivity is not through between NMS
and GNE, IP team need to investigate this.
When we able to PING GNE it means connectivity is through between NMS and that Particular GNE as example below.

0% Packet loss

So now we can upload the GNE on The NMS.

Step-1 Right click on NMS screen, go to “NEW” than click on “NE” as example below.
 Step-2 Once you click on NEW you will get below mentioned window.

Step-3 Select “RTN Series”

Step-4 Select “RTN 905”
only.

Go to Next Slide
 1- use only NE ID

2-use only Extend ID

3- Use Name NE name as per web report
4-Selcect Gateway for GNE and NON
GATEWAY for NE
5- Put IP Address

6-Password always Changeme_123

7-Always
Check this Click Apply and OK.

Once you UP load GNE than Upload NON GNE( Customer end MW Device with same procedure.

For NON GNE select NON-Gateway.

And Follow same procedure.

It will take time to upload in the NMS
 Select the GNE name in
Gateway

Click ok
Select both the NEs

Than click > File>New> Link

 Select NE Name

Select GNE Name

Click OK
Right Click on GNE>NE Explorer
E-Line configuration

Select the NE

Click on Configuration
Go to Eth Service management and click E-LINE Services
Click New
 Select service id 1 ,2 3, and soo onn.
Can put SID from web report

Select source port as EG6-1

Select sink port IF Card

Add VLAN on both the ports

Click Apply and click cancel after a massage come operation succeed
Will Get bellow Window, Check red marked column to verify VLANS.
