APPLICATION (IGPSA) IN
PINDANGAN ESTATE, ALCALA,
PANGASINAN

BRIEF HISTORY
The property of Pindangan Estate is composed of five (5) Barangays,
namely; Brgy. Vacante, Brgy. San Pedro Apartado, Brgys. Pindangan East, West
and Centro. Pindangan Estate was originally owned by the late Mr. Francisco
Gonzales, with an aggregate area of 491 hectares more or less. Same property
was inherited by Ms. Cristina Gonzales but later on was mortgaged to
Agricultural Bank of the Philippine Islands. In November 22, 1922, Ms. Cristina
Gonzales failed to pay the loan which led to the property’s foreclosure by the
bank.
On November 28, 1923, the title of the land was transferred to the
Government of the Philippines and the land became a patrimonial property of
the state. Several issues were raised during the period of 1924-2005 including
herein the creation of INTER-AGENCY Taskforce, several dialogues with the
officials of LGU of Alcala, Pangasinan and filing of several claims by several
occupants.
Only in April 25, 2005 that publication of SALE OF GOVERNMENT LANDS was
made. Also in this year that several claimants, including the different groups
created inside the Pindangan Estate, caused so much chaos that resulted to
the suspension of receiving applications.
Only in the late 2015 up to 2017 that acceptance of application was again
opened. Summary of Accomplishment from 2005 to 2017 is herein presented
as follows:
