RAPID WALL CONSTRUCTION
Synopsis
 The design and construction of anchored and strutted sheet pile walls
in soft clay are reviewed.

 Rapid wall with average head will be critical in achieving stability of

walls.

 It is the most ecologically sound and technologically advanced

building product available in the world today.

 INTRODUCTION
 Rapid wall, also called as GFRG (glass fiber reinforced
gypsum) panel is an energy efficient green building material
with huge potential for use as load bearing and non load
bearing wall panels.

 Rapid wall is a large load bearing panel with modular

cavities suitable for both external and internal walls.

 Rapid wall has high compressive strength, shearing

strength,flexural strength and ductility.

 Rapid wall panels can be used as infill walls/slabs in conventional RCC framed construction.

 The use of rapid wall panels and composite floor panels can be integrated with the construction of column and
beams.

OBJECTIVIES
 Rapid wall is a load bearing prefabricated walling panel. This is suitable for rapid

mass scale building construction was originally developed and used since 1990 in

Australia.

 Panels are hollow panels of size 12m length ,3m height with overall thickness of

124mm.

 The weight of each panel is 1440kg or 40kg/sqm.

 The panels can be easily cut into any size depending on the room size.
