 On Friday, March 11, 2011 a 9.0 magnitude earthquake hit


Japan.
 This was the most powerful earthquake recorded in
Japan’s history.
 The earthquake triggered a tsunami with heights up to 133
ft.
 The tsunami killed over 10,000 people.
 The destruction has caused Japan millions of dollars.
 Japan is still recovering from the disaster.
