 WHY REMOTE SENSING ?

 Remote sensing is the art, science and technology of obtaining

reliable information about physical objects and the
environment, through the process of recording, measuring and
interpreting imagery and digital representations of energy
derived from noncontact sensor systems
 In simpler words, remote sensing is a great technology that
enables the civil engineers to look at distant objects,
landscapes and buildings before the work begins on it.
 Remote sensing provides all types of geographical data to the
engineers and gives them a brief idea about the situation of the
landscape or the area of location selected, the population
estimate in and around it.
