SHOP PERFORMANCE
• Modification of length cutting equipment in
continuous caster machine 3 & 4 to satisfy
URM requirements.
• Development and provision of manual
Temperature & Celox measurement system
at BOF- 1 &2, LF-1, ARU-1 & RH units of
SMS3.
• Design and development of flowmeter for
porous plug healthiness checking of ladles
at ladle bay of SMS-3.
SHOP PERFORMANCE
• Telemetering of environment monitoring
parameters from various plants to plant
wide intranet and server for transferring
them to CPCB .
• Modification & Commissioning of old
unused Muffle Furnace of SHT (Simulated
Heat Treatment equipment ) done with in
house resources at MTL-2, RCL.
• Introduced Displacement measurement of
hydraulic heavy plate (80mm) bending
machine at Steel & Structural shop.
SHOP PERFORMANCE
• Fixing of leveller for raw mix after Nebulizer
Belt- 2007 and installation , calibration and
testing of ON line IR type moisture
measurement system for Sinter Machine -2 at
SP3 complex , which has increased the
reliability of measurement.
SHOP PERFORMANCE
• Provision of vibration monitoring system in
Central exhaust fans at BF#7.
• Introduction of Radar based burden level
measurement in BF 7.
• Provision of Reliable Moisture measurement
in all m/cs and PMDs of SP2
SHOP PERFORMANCE
WEIGHMENT
• Modification and upgrade the load cell
capacity from 10 T to 33 T capacity HBM
make load cell for minimized the frequent
failure of load cell and better accuracy.
These jobs have been done thro in-house
resources at URM.
• In-house installation and commissioning of
150 TPH belt weigh scale for measurement
of flux at Conveyor no. M-5 of Sintering
Plant-2.
WEIGHMENT

• Modification, installation and


commissioning of 2 Nos. Intermediate
Bunker weighing systems, capacity 25 T
at Blast Furnace-7 during capital repair.
Previously, no weighing systems were
installed in the intermediate bunker for
monitoring of Iron Ore & additives.

• Revival of slab caster 6 Instrumentation
parameter after fire incidence in SMS 2
• Replacement of steam flow regulating
valve in BF-8
