Dramatic Question
Title/Captions: What is Leadership?

Narration: To simply define leadership, it is the

action of leading people or an organization. Some
examples of leaders would be Presidents, professors,
trainers, and so many more. I’ve often heard that people
can be natural born leaders, I don’t disagree, but it’s
also a quality that can develop over time.

Dramatic Question
Title/Captions: Let’s look at the Dos

Narration:
- DO figure out the kind of effective leader you want to be (do you want
to be authoritative or do you want to inspire? Of course, you can be
both).
- DO try to know your audience (consider the demographics).
- DO keep in mind the energy you put out and your attitude (regardless
of your mood, your “vibe” (as people say nowadays) still can affect the
energy and attitude your audience will give back to you).
- DO encourage interaction amongst the group or organization (let your
audience know that their ideas and questions are welcomed).
- DO open your mind to the ideas and questions your audience have
(giving feedback to your audience lets them know that you are engaged
in the discussion as well).
- DO lead by example (as the saying goes, “actions speak louder than
words”).

Title/Captions: Let’s look at the Don’ts

Narration:
- DON’T scold your audience (employee, student, etc.) if he/she did something
wrong (Reprimand them by telling them what was done wrong and
suggesting what could have been done differently).
- DON’T talk badly about them to other people (this is a given regardless if
you’re in a leadership position or not and it goes both ways).
- DON’T take credit for other people’s work or ideas (your audience will see
this as a betrayal and will often refuse to contribute to the
group/organization).
- DON’T disregard your audience’s feelings (compromising on decisions and
listening to your group members is important. Make them feel comfortable
to participate in the discussions).

Title/Captions: Good Leadership

Narration: Good leadership is showing that you care for those

you are leading. Let’s say a teacher or mentor reassures you that you
can always go to them for anything. The teacher listens carefully and
guides to find a solution to their issues, without suggesting anything.
As a leader, you want your audience to feel that you can be trusted.

Title/Captions: Bad Leadership

Narration: An example of a bad leader would be someone who

constantly scolds you for doing something wrong (and in doing so,
offends you), instead of telling you what you can improve on. In
addition, publicly shaming that particular person because of a
mistake they made at work or school.

Title/Captions: none

Narration: There are lot of behaviors and decisions to

consider if you want to be an effective leader. Everything
that’s listed is not limited to qualities of a leader alone, but as
an employee or student as well. There are other factors,
beyond what was mentioned, in becoming an effective leader
depending on what kind of organization or group you’re
leading. So as long as you are considerate, open minded, and
positive, you can be an effective leader. Be the kind of leader
you’d want to follow.
