Abstract: There is always a possibility that a car might hit an obstacle while reverse-parking as the driver does not get the
full view of what is behind the car. Therefore, proximity sensors are necessary to alert the driver about the obstacles behind
the car while parking it. Our Carking Parking Guard Circuit is designed to solve this problem making use of Infrared
Sensors. By providing both visual (LED) and hearing aid (buzzer) to the driver, there is an increased possibility that the
driver manages to avoid an obstacle in almost all the circumstances.
3. EXPERIMENTATION
The circuit contains two IR emitters with one IR receiver to measure
distance up to 30 cm with considerable changes in output of receiver.
Two comparators were used to divide the observing range of distance
into subsections. Resistors are connected at its inverting terminal for Figure: Sensor response when object is at 15 Figure: Sensor response when object is at 7
