Pairing your device – Installing the Ping app on your phone
Important:

You can install the app on personal/ corporate or BYOD device

You need to connect to external network (internet) and disconnect from SE network or VPN. If you are connected to SE
Network or VPN, authentication will be as is today

Step 1:

Install the “PingID” application from the SE App Store /
• Once the below screen appears, click on ‘I already installed • Open the PingID application on your Smartphone.

Focus on ADM Accounts Reminder: What is an ADM Account?
An ADM account is a personal AD
How do I use Ping with my ADM Account? account with high privileges that allows
administrative operations.

 How do I pair my ADM Account?

An ADM account has to be paired the same way as a SESA account. Please refer to slides 4 and 5 to see
the detailed pairing procedure.
Note: It is possible to have both a SESA and an ADM account paired via the same phone.

 How do I unpair my ADM account?

However, it is not possible to unpair your ADM account via the automatic device unpairing tool in
2929IT (detailed on slide 17). In that case, the user needs to call Service Desk.
 How do I reset my ADM account password?
Resetting an ADM account password works the same as resetting a SESA account password, using the Self
Service PC Password Reset tool: http://passwordreset.schneider-electric.com (please refer to slide 9 to
see the detailed procedure).
