Is Virtual Reality a Danger?

The Researcher:
Hi my name is Abdoul Barry and I am computer
science major who is researching the effects that
virtual reality can have on people and helping to give
awareness to the problems that come with the use of
VR tech now and in the future.
How can Virtual
reality be a danger?
• Okay your probably asking how can virtual reality
be dangerous?
• Well I can start by saying that while it may be
simulating a “fake reality” the effects that it
leaves behind can be extremely severe.
• Effects such as a loss of interest and skewed
expectation of daily life outside of the Virtual
world. This may seem like a simple matter but it
can cause huge problems with mental ability and
awareness.

Reasoning:
• Have you ever wanted to either apart of a world you’ve only
seen in movies, played in games , or read in books then
virtual reality is something that would speak out to you
immediately.
• But while it may speak out to you and seem interesting it is
also something that can extremely disconcerting and scary
to witness.
• Imagine a scenario where you get to experience the world of
your dreams whether it be a fantasy world where you are a Would something similar to the
