In the trip mode 20FG-1, 20FL-1 or 20TV-1 are de-energized, the relay trip valves block
high pressure hydraulic supply fluid from reaching actuators and provide a quick dump
flow path for fluid in the actuators. In the reset mode, the high pressure hydraulic supply
fluid is allowed to flow freely through the relay trip valves to each actuator. Filtered and
cooled lubrication oil is used as the trip oil fluid.
The oil used for the trip oil system comes from the lube oil system, ahead of the bearing
header pressure regulating valve.
1. To the gas turbine IGV actuator through branch line OLT-5 (skid connection
TO11).
2. To the gas fuel system valves. The gas fuel valve trip oil feed flow rate is also
restricted by an orifice. The line downstream of this orifice is designated as
OLT-2. The OLT-2 line feeds the relay trip valve pilot chambers located at each
gas valve. Pressure is retained in the OLT-2 line when trip solenoid valve
20FG-1 is energized. When 20FG-1 is de-energized, the springs in the relay
trip valves push oil down OLT-2 line to trip solenoid 20FG-1. This action
connects the valve actuators to drain allowing them to rapidly close. Maximum
flow in this line occurs when 20FG-1 is de-energized.
3. To the liquid fuel stop valve actuator through branch line OLT-1 (skid
connection TO12)
