Linking sentences using ‘because, however and although’ Because Because is used to give a reason for something. We don’t need to use a comma before because.
Each replacement part is unique because it is made to
fit an individual precisely.

• However • However is used to present a contrast with an idea in a previous sentence. It therefore begins a new sentence that contrast with previous one. However is followed by a comma, it is more formal than but.
• They assured us that the parts would be of the
highest quality. However, that proved not to be the case.

• Although • Although is used to make a concession. It can either link two clauses within one sentence or can appear at the beginning of the sentence to introduce two contrasting ideas or situations.
• The scheme will be successful, although it will take
time.

Sequence the manufacturing process Procedures: • The check valve is made from cast iron. First, the part is cast. The cast iron is then turned. Next, the holes are drilled in for the flanges. After drilling, the next step is painting. When the paint is dry, the parts are bolted together. The final step is inspection. This is when we make sure the part has been made properly.
