Ubaid Ullah ECI-IT-15-018 Shahbaz Ashfaq ECI-IT-15-068 Problem Statement • Today most of the restaurants in the world is facing the most critical problem of not getting the quality service. • It is usual in any Pakistani restaurant to observe customers leave unsatisfied and furiously disappointed due to poor waiting service. • Human errors during service that is serving an order to the wrong table. • Humans Waiter service Consumes more time. • Due to lack of employers, the employers become puzzled and are unable to manage the proper service which is necessary to be provided to the customers. Literature Review • Tan-Hsu Tan [1] in his research constructed an intelligent e-restaurant system using RFID, WLAN, database technologies, and a menu recommender to offer customer-centric service to enhance customer service quality and to improve restaurant. • Rupali Saple [2] in his research proposed that the customer’s can take their refreshment by pressing the buttons, where using the black line following technique the robot reaches the customer’s table. • When customers on their table simply press a button to order. On switching the button a LED at the receiving side will make the robot to move to his destination. This order is sent to the kitchen and reception using communication network. The main drawback of traditional human waiter is that it is very time consuming and employing a human can cost more as he need to be paid for his service. • Using the robotic waiter in the restaurant makes the restaurant attractive, advanced and cost effective.
