 SOME FINDINGS
• Several tafsir manuscripts were found in
Indonesia and West Java in particular
(Cangkuang Temple, Cirebon Palace,
etc.).
• DIKTIS and KEMENAG are trying to
collect the manuscripts.
• Needed the researchers and manuscripts
lovers.
 The Fact
• Indonesia is rich with manuscripts (produced
around 17-19 AD)
• There are still many manuscripts collected and
hold by individual personally.
• Manuscripts are vulnerable to damage
• There are still many manuscripts that are not
maintained properly.

 What has been and should be done?
• Learning from Maktabah Syamilah, Waqfeya,
Mtafsir, etc.
• Should conduct collaborative researches
between manuscripts lovers and Information
Technology experts to produce applications or
softwares.
• Data Mining (Center for Hadith Studies
Jakarta, Data Mining at IAT Bandung
Department)
 Tahqiq before Digitalization
• The book Siyar A'alam An Nubala, the work of Imam
Dhahabi, published in Dar al Ma'arif Egypt in 1953.
According to Sheikh Shu'aib al Arna'uth, in this book
there are more than one hundred errors.
• Al -Adzkar's book by Imam Nawawi published by Dar
Huda, Riyadh, in 1984. Syaik Abdul Qadir Al ‘Arnau'uth,
muhaqiq the book encountered a fatal error after the
book was circulated. There are changes to the title and
loss of some text. Until finally the book was withdrawn
from the market.
• The book Dhafar Al Amani, the work of Imam Laknawi,
published by Dar Al Buhuts Emirate, in 1995. According
to Sheikh Abdul Fatah Abu Ghuddah, in this book there
were more than 678 errors.
