SEAL REQUIREMENTS
There are two basic kinds of Seals:
Static and Dynamic.
Static seals are employed where no movement
occurs at the juncture to be sealed. Gasket and
O- ring are typical Static Seal.
Dynamic
Dynamic seals are employed where surfaces
move relative to one another. Dynamic seal
are use for example, where a reciprocating
or rotating shaft transmits power or
movement through the wall of a tank.
