INTRODUCTION
 Bill and his close friend Allen started a new
company of their own .

 When he joined Howard Allen and bill come close


to one another and they get a job in Honeywell.

 In the year 1975, he left Howard to form


Microsoft with his childhood friend Allen.

 He talk with IBM for letting Microsoft to


retaining the licensing sights of MS DOS and
operating system that IBM needed for their
personal computer.
BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
 By 1982 Microsoft had 220 employees and
revenues of 24 million dollar.

 In 1982 July he hired James F. Towne as COO.

 As the relationship between him and was very


product oriented. And he found it is very difficult
to communicate with an executive from a
different industry.

 As a replacement , Bill choose Jon Shirley.


PRODUCT DEVOLEPMENT
 He paid a pivotal role in product development
activities in Microsoft.

 Much of his development efforts were directed


towards product simplification.

 He tried to view the entire product portfolio of


Microsoft in the light of future prospects and
likely competitor moves.
HIRING BEST TALENT
 Bill paid special attention to recruit and retain
the best talent in the software industry.

 He believe that the requirement of talented


software engineers was one of the most critical
elements in software industry.

 Bill transform Microsoft from one million dollar


company to market leader in the software
industry.
SOFTWARE DEVOLEPMENT
 Bill normally encouraging employees and make them
feel valuable.

 In 1983 Microsoft began to focus on graphics user

easily with computers.

 In 1985 , Microsoft introduced Windows.

 During the mid 1980s Microsoft released updated


version of MS DOS along with App.

company.

 He was known for having a “broad bandwidth”.

 That menace the company terminology for


expertise in a wide variety of issues, including
legal, financial, administrative, and industry
matters.

 Everything they do should focus on making
windows more successful .

 Recruit college student for entry level software


developers.

 Microsoft hire its senior developers from another


companies.

 Microsoft is very good in hiring very good


technical people.
MISSION AND VISION
 At Microsoft, their mission is to enable people
and businesses throughout the world to realize
their full potential.

 Microsoft considers their mission statement a


commitment to their customers.
CONCUSION
 Bill Gates was one of the greatest leaders ever
alive, leading Microsoft into becoming one of the
most famous computer software companies in the
world.

 He has a very good personality, a great


management style and a very caring person.
