The Majapahit Empire or Kerajaan Majapahit was a
thalassocracy in Southeast Asia, that existed from
1293 to circa 1500.
Majapahit was one of the last major empires of the
region and is considered to be one of the greatest and
most powerful empires in the history of Indonesia.

Declined
Following Hayam Wuruk's death in 1389, Majapahit
power entered a period of decline with conflict over
succession, called as Paregreg War. It was between the
crown princess Kusumawardhani, who married a
relative, Prince Wikramawardhana with Hayam
Wuruk’s son from his previous marriage, crown prince
Wirabhumi.
