BASIC HARDWARE CONSISTED IN RBS 6202

 DU (DIGITAL UNIT)
 RRU (REMOTE RADIO UNIT)
 PSU (POWER SUPPLY UNIT- OPTIONAL)
 BFU (BATTERY FUSE UNIT)
DIGITAL UNIT(DU)
The DU provides: switching, traffic management, timing, baseband
processing, and radio interfacing.

DU IS JUST LIKE AN DXU/MU IN 2000 RBS.

The DU has the following functions:

• Timing function
• Loadable software
• Downlink baseband processing
• Uplink baseband processing
• IP traffic management
• Radio interface

RRU(REMOTE RADIO UNIT)
 The RU main purpose is to send and receive signals. The RU receives digital data and
converts it to analog signals. It also receives radio signals and converts these to digital
signals.

 TYPES OF RRU.
• RUW(RADIO UNIT FOR WCDMA)
• RUG(RADIO UNIT FOR GSM)
• RUL(RADIO UNIT FOR LTE)
• RUS(MULTISTANDARD RADIO)
• BASIC FUNCTION
 Tx Amplification
 Tx/Rx Duplexing
 Tx/Rx Filtering
 Antenna Supervision Support
