WHAT IS PRIVATE SECTOR?
The private sector is the part of a country’s
economic system that is run by the
individuals & companies, rather than the
government.
WHAT IS PUBLIC SECTOR?
The Public Sector is usually comprised of
organizations that are owned and operated by
the government and exist to provide services for
its citizens
RECRUITMENT PROCESS OF PRIVATE
SECTOR:-
• Recognise a need to hire
• Place Advertisement
• Various Test( like Aptitude test,
psychometric test etc)
• Interview
• Selection
RECRUITMENT PROCESS OF PUBLIC
SECTOR:-
• Plan and Prepare
• Attract applicants
• Various level test(like preliminary, mains
etc)
• Take Interview
• Post selection formalities
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PUBLIC AND
PRIVATE SECTOR JOB:-
• Service Focused:
In Public sector the primary purpose is to provide service to the
citizen, But in private sector primary purpose is to make profit.
• Flexibility:
The private sector has more flexibility in just about every aspect of
employment rather than public sector.
• Job Security:
Public sector employees are less likely to lose jobs as compared to
their private sector brethren.
• Job Growth:
Private sectors are well known for their regard to performance and
employee motivation.
• Job Benefits:
Public sector jobs are known to be better for retirement benefits,
providing their employees a solid pension plan.
• Job opportunities:
Private company jobs are filled based on demand and recruitment
drives that happens throughout the year. For public sector the decision
making process can be long drawn and take upward of months to
arrive at a selection.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RECRUITMENT
PROCESSES:-
• Time:- The duration for hiring process can be lengthy for public
sectors as compare to the private sectors.
• Security:- Some of times we see that question paper is leaked in
public sectors. From that point of view private sector recruitment
process more secure.
• Recommendation:- Public institutions use less often the
recommendations received from acquaintances and networks.
• Direct applications:- Gets less direct applications from
candidates.
• Job Fairs:- Participate less often in job fairs.
• Job Vacancy:- Public organizations most frequently advertise their
job vacancies to their current employees.
