A Cryo Cuff is a cold and a compression therapy that is used to decrease pain and
swelling in patients post therapy. This therapy is called Cryo therapy.
A cryo cuff is basically a device that is wrapped around the body part that needs
post-operative care be it knee, shoulder, hip, hand, wrist, ankle, elbow or rib.
The device is filled with cold water. It basically has 4 parts namely a cuff, a cooler,
an insulation disk and a tube.
It is used after injury, physical therapy sessions or surgery.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
- If your cryo cuff works by gravity, you can disconnect the tube and do your daily
activities with cuff on.
- Keep the cryo cuff on for 20 to 30min, 3 to 4 times a day or as directed.
- Unplug the cooler when the ice has melted.
- Squeeze the cuff to empty it completely while is attached to the cooler.
BENEFIT
If your cooler is plugged in, make sure the cuff and cooler are level when in use.
Lower the cooler to decrease pressure if you have any numbness, tingling, or
discomfort.
Check your skin often when you use the cryocuff.
Do not use an elastic wrap under the cuff. Any bandages in place should be lightly
wrapped.
Be sure to empty the cuff and cooler after each use.
Use mild dish soap to clean the cooler and lid. Do not put the lid completely into
water.
