To study about the diseases among Malaysians.

OBJECTIVE
To study and able to differentiate between
infectious disease and non infectious disease.

CAUSES OF TRANSMITTED DISEASES

• Rabies is a deadly virus spread to people from the


saliva of infected animals and it is transmitted
RABIES through their bite.
• Symptoms include fever, headache, vomiting and
nausea.

• Infection occurs through contact with water, food,


or soil contaminated by animal urine like rats.
LEPTOSPIROSIS • Symptoms include high fever, severe headache,
vomiting, jaundice, and diarrhea.

• An infection in liver and it’s spread when people


come in contact with the blood, open sores, or
HEPATITIS B body fluids.
• Fever and stomach trouble like loss of appetite,
nausea, and vomiting.
WAYS TO OVERCOME TRANSMITTED DISEASES

• Don't approach wild animals.


RABIES • Vaccinate your pets if you have one.
• Report stray animals to local authorities.

• Avoid contaminated water.


LEPTOSPIROSIS • Keep away from wild rats.
• To wash utensils before using it.

• Cover all open cuts or wounds.


• Don’t share chewing gum, and don’t pre-chew
HEPATITIS B food for a baby.
• Don’t share razors, toothbrushes, nail care tools, or
pierced earrings with anyone.
STATISTIC ANALYSIS

According to the statistics, we


have observed the following:

• Food and water borne diseases


Communicable diseases were • Vector borne disease,
divided into 5 main categories • Vaccine preventable diseases,
which are • Sexually transmitted diseases
• Other infectious diseases.

• Dengue – 143.27%
The most common disease that
• Hand Foot Mouth Disease – 78.52%
Malaysians are suffering is:
• Tuberculosis – 78.28%

With this, we can predict that these 3 diseases are


most common in Malaysian’s and the Ministry of
Health would need to look into this closely to prevent
this disease from spreading to others even more.
WAYS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS

Get vaccinated.

INFECTIOUS Stay at home if you have signs and

DISEASE symptoms of an infection.

Don't share personal items.

Reduce salt intake.

NON-INFECTIOUS Reduce harmful use of alcohol.
