 Ecological education

Ecological education means teaching children about the natural

environment.

It is very important for every child to know that the planet Earth
nowadays has a lot of problems because of the pollution humans
cause.

Kids should learn about global warming, solid waste and many
other problems, about ecology and how the planet works.
 Pollution
It is important for adults and children to understand
that with development of modern technology, nature is
being pursued by a great danger, more exactly Pollution.

Pollution is the action of infesting, causing air, water,

the environment to be vitiated by residual substances,
waste, etc., with changes in the natural balance and
harmful effect on living organisms.
 Why we have to worry

Reports about the state of the environment are more

worrying every year : Forests are being cut, the soil is
degrading, more landslides, the ozone layer is getting thinner
and species of plants and animals disappear.
 Deforestation
Unfortunately, for a large number of people the forest is just a source of wood.

Cauzes: Lack of development in some areas has led to abusive use of forest resources. Population growth has increased the
demand for new agricultural land, settlements and structures, which has affected the state of forests.

Functions: - Forest is the habitat for most animals and the natural environment for plants.

-The forest creates and maintains the soil for agriculture.

-Fresh air.
Consequences: -Drought, floods, soil erosion and soil desertification.
-Climate change is causing global warming.
-The disappearance of some plant and animal species (loss of biodiversity).
-Hunger and poverty.
-Conflicts arising from fertile lands.

 How to stop deforestation

We can stop deforestation by planting more trees.

 The ozone layer
The Earth is sourounded by the ozone layer. The ozone layer filters about two thirds of ultraviolet radiation of

the Sun. If all the radiation would reach the Earh it would be dangerous for the living being that live on it.

Degradation of the ozone layer is due to the intervention of harmful gases.

Negative effects: -decreasing plant productivity

-decreased immunity of organisms

-damaging aquatic ecosystems

-the sudden melting of the ice caps

-threatens to extinguish some species of animals.

 Conclusion
We have to teach the next generation to take care of the planet they live on.
