AUTHORITARIAN

• The media is controlled and censored by the


ministries in the countries.
• Censorship-is a suppression of any communication
which may consider as harmful to the people, King,
government and its nation.
• Neglects the freedom of speech and freedom of
expression.
SOVIET MEDIA

• The whole control of the media is under the


leader of the nation.
• They put end to the private ownership of the
press and other media.
• Also known as “Communist Media Theory”
LIBERTARIAN
• Fully free without any intervention of any
authority or government.
• Media is supposed to be privately owned.
• It believes in freedom of thought and
individualism.
• Everyone has the right to express opinions.
LIBERTARIAN
• There is absolute freedom to media, media plays
the role of a watchdog.
• No censorship of any kind is to be done.
• Media is accountable to the law of the country.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

• Press freedom in one hand, but other hand they controlled the press by
raising questions.
• The content of the press should be discussed in public panel
• Media should accept any obligation from public interference or professional
self regulations.
• The ownership is private.
• It lies between both authoritarian theory and libertarian because it gives total
media freedom and external controls.
EXPOSURE TIMELINE
• Draft a timeline of your exposure to traditional and new media
on a bond paper.
• Create that timeline through presentation software.
• For each item of media, the learners are to include a picture or
image, year, short description, and a personal insight.
• Write a brief description of the output and submit it at the MIL
portal.
