• Marital status : married
• Date of admission:14/2/40
• Chief complaints :Home delivery, Retained placenta, Jaundice.
• History: Weight loss, fever at night and cough since 1 month.
WHAT IS TUBERCULOSIS

• is a potentially serious infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs. The
bacteria that cause tuberculosis are spread from one person to another
through tiny droplets released into the air via coughs and sneezes.
SYMPTOMS :

• A bad cough that lasts 3 weeks or longer


• Weight loss
• Loss of appetite
• Coughing up blood or mucus
• Weakness or fatigue
• Fever
• Night sweats
• Chest pain, or pain with breathing or coughing
HOW TO DIAGNOSIS:

• simple skin test (PPD)


• CHEST X-RAY OR CT SCAN
• Sputum tests
CAUSES

• tuberculosis is caused by bacteria that spread from person to person through


the air. This can happen when someone with the untreated, active form of
tuberculosis coughs, speaks, sneezes, spits
