Antoni Gaudi

BIOGRAPHY

Antoni Gaudi was born on 25 june 1852.

Antoni Gaudí's exact birthplace is unknown because no supporting documents have

been found, leading to a controversy about whether he was born in Reus or Riudoms.

He studied at the Escola Superior d'Architecture in Barcelona.

Designed his first major commission for the Casa Vincens in Barcelona using a
Gothic style.

Although categorized with the Art Nouveau, Gaudi created an entirely
original style. He died in Barcelona in 1926.

of Bones), as it has a visceral, skeletal

The building looks very remarkable — like everything Gaudí

designed, only identifiable as Modernism or Art Nouveau

It is a garden complex with architectura lelements situated on the hill

of El Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It
was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the
years 1900 to 1914.
