types of cancer in Indonesia.

Objective: This study aims to evaluate cases of breast cancer in Ibnu Sina Hospital, Makassar for 6 years based on age, history of parity, tumor location,
clinically stage, choice of therapy, type of histopathology, differentiation degree, and immunohistochemistry subtypes.

Method:
•Retrospective descriptive study by using secondary data from patient’s medical record at Ibnu Sina Hospital, Makassar.
•Total population sampling : 627 patients from Januari 2012 to December 2017
Result:

Result
•The highest age group frequency is the group of 41-50 years old and the lowest group age is the
group of 71-80 years old.
•The frequency of multiparaous group was higher than nulliparaous group.
•The most common location was left breast.
•The highest number of breast cancer by stage was stage III.
•The most common treatment modality was surgical therapy (both lumpectomy and mastectomy).
•The most common histopathology type was invasive ductal carcinoma.
•The most common degree of differentiation was moderate differentiation.
•Immunohistochemistry subtypes were obtained with the highest percentage of luminal B and the
lowest triple negative results were 31 cases (4.94%).

The survival rate of less than 5

years of breast cancer patients in
this study, 315 cases (50.2%),
while the survival rate of more
than 5 years was 78 cases (12.4%).

About 37.4% of the patients didn’t

return for follow up.

Conclusion: Recommendation:
