My visit to Frankfurt for the 2014 Auto

Show was great. This was the 65th edition
of the fair. It took place from September
25th to October 2nd in Hanover, Germany.

I arrived in Germany on Tuesday, 23rd of

September, two days before the start of the
event. I flew from New York to Frankurt. I
enjoyed the flight a lot.

I arrived at the exhibition center on

Wednesday, which was the first day of the
show. There were outdoor and indoor
exhibitions and lot of visitors.

I first visited the electric cars pavilion.

There were several exhibitions by different
car makers. I enjoyed them all.
The place was full of people because the
cars were really amazing.

A few days later, I attended a presentation

about the cars of the future. The exhibitors
showed a 3D clip about new technologies in
car manufacturing. These exhibition was
very interesting too. They even had a see-
through model car made in glass.

Before the end of the show, I had the

opportunity to do a drive test of a very
modern vehicle.

I traveled with a group of visitors to a nearby

circuit. We chose our favorite car and drove
along the circuit for several minutes. I felt
like a real race pilot!

Before leaving Germany, I had to try the

local food: sausages, of course! During the
last day of the show, I visited one of the local
restaurants. I ordered the Frankfurter
Würstchen which means “The little
Frankfurt saugage” It was absolutely
delicious! I also had a sauerkraut (cabbage
in vinegar) and a beer with it. These are the
usual sides that German people eat with
sausage.

My visit to Bogotá for the gastronomic fair.

This was the 45th edition in the Chamber
of Commerce of May Street in Bogota.

I arrived in Bogotá on Friday, August 28,

just the day of the start of the event. Trip
from Villavicencio to Boyaca, from Boyaca
to La Dorada, from Dorada to Ibague and
from Igugue to Bogota.

I arrived at the exhibition center early

Friday, since it was the only day where the
food had a 50 percent discount.

First I visited the city of Medellin where

there were many foods, such as desserts,
cakes, cookies, meats, soups, but there
was something more delicious and that
plate is the paisa tray, which has rice,
avocado, chicharron, ground beef, fried
egg, chorizo and arepa with ripe banana

On the same day, I attended a

presentation of the soups. The best dishes
were cataloged with blue ribbon, among
them was the ajiaco of origin of Santander.
There were soups of rice, corn, plantain,
arracacha, but the ajiaco had three types
of potatoes and chicken with cream of
milk

After trying the ajiaco, in the distance you

hear llanera music and some cows making
noise, at that time all the frightened
spectators went to see
At that time I became friends with some
llaneros and with them we rode horses,
and we linked the recesses to sacrifice
them and then to be cooked, I learned
how to make meat on the plains

went to a sector called "Soups from
abroad" there were soups of crabs, soups
of squid, soup of seaweed of Europe,
cream of puffer fish, among other rare
soups, that the truth I did not dare to try

After so much eating salt and spices, we

went to the dessert sector of Colombia,
which the fvorito dish for the guests was
the cake of turtle eggs with chocolate
cream, pieces of almond, nutmeg,
arequipe in the middle and eyelets of
oatmeal with ground sugar and vanilla
essence, it was the best dessert tasted in
my life.

Before leaving Bogota, I had to try the

food from the coast of Colombia
Mejillones in vegetable vinaigrette, an
exotic and very exquisite dish, they gave us
a coconut girl and a tamarind delicacy.
That day being 9 at night they gave the
prize to the best dishes but I had to travel
because the next day I had a musical
presentation in mitu
