3) RESULTS & DISCUSSION
1. Copper is used for different reasons in aquaculture.
2. Cause toxicity if dose is increased.
3. Zinc bound to albumin and macroglobulin in serum.
4. Zinc play a role in carbohydrate digestion.
- u play a important role on some heavy metal (Copper and
Zinc) induced alteration in Serum Lipid Profile of

1. Average body weight of 20-25 g/ fish were used in the present study.
2. Fish were apparently healthy and free from any abrasions or external
parasites.

1. Copper/ Zinc supplemented diets compared to the control group.
2. The results showed significant (P<0.01)increase in copper
bioaccumulation in blood serum and liver in group 4.
3. Ceruloplasmine activity in blood serum showed significantly (P<0.01)
increase in fish groups4 fed on copper supplemented diet as compared to
the control group .
4. Glutathione peroxidase activity in liver tissues was significantly high in
fish groups 3 & 4 fed on diets contained copper or zinc as compared to the
control group and or garlic treated groups.
5. VLDL and LDL showed significantly (P<0.01) increase in fish groups 3&
4 fed on Cu or Zinc.
6. But HDL shows significantly (P<0.001) decrease in fish groups 3& 4 fed
on copper or Zinc.

Both Copper and Zinc affect the serum lipid profile and garlic oil
treatment relatively improved serum lipid profile and garlic oil treatment
relatively improved serum lipid profile in treated fish.
