 Plastic Screen Protectors

 Glass Screen Protectors

Importance of Glass Protectors
 Transparent

 Protection from the Dirt

 Scratch Proof

 Easy Replacement

 Cheap and Readily Available

Manufacturing Process
 Material and its Cutting

 Shaping

 Polishing and Washing

 Glass Tempering and Lamination

 Cleaning

 Die-Cutting
Material and Its Cutting
 Big Sheets (1 m × 1 m)

 Removed from Crates and Cleaned

 Cutting Tools are used if needed

Shaping Process
 Computer Aided Design (CAD) Model

 Conversion of CAD file to CNC Program (G-code)

 Machining Operation by CNC (Computer Numerical Control)

Machine
CNC Machine
Polishing and Washing
 Remove Scratches on both sides of the Glass

 Cerium Oxide is the best Polishing Powder

 Sand Paper is used for Deep Scratches

 Line Profile Wheels (Tools) are used to Polish

 Glass is Washed to Remove Grains of Glass and Dirt

Glass Tempering and Lamination
 Glass is drowned in an oven containing potassium salt (KCl) at
almost 400°C (752°F) for 7 hours
 Heated Glass Parts are subjected to Rapid Cooling
 The 9H strength is achieved only when the heating is done for the
7 hours
 Oleo-phobic coating is applied to the one side of the glass part
 Silicon layer is applied to the other side of the glass
Cleaning of the Glass
Cleaning Technology (Machine) is used to

 make sure that the glasses are free of powders

 free of salt, dusts, fingerprints and other smudges.

Die-Cutting
 A piece of membrane is cut to be applied on the
protector’s silicon layer side

 Glue is used as an Adhesive

 Further processing is done to make sure that silicon

layer and the glue is evenly distributed on the surface
Quality Control
 Hardness Test

 Breaking Test

 Dimensions
