Value Added
• Division kick-off of the
National Book Week.
Issues and Concerns

• Science and Math equipment not properly

utilized and are not properly stored inside
the cabinets. Some cabinets intended for
these equipment are used for documents
and are seen inside the Principal’s office.
Issues and Concerns
• Most schools don’t have functional School Learning Centers due to
classroom shortage.
• School LRC’s that are not functional due to lack of personnel to man
the LRC.
• Teachers don’t have copies of their curriculum guides.
• Teachers are not yet registered to LR portal.
• Teachers don’t have DepEd email account.
• Others are registered to the portal using other email accounts which
caused them to be inactive and cannot access resources online.
• No or poor internet connection causes the inaccessibility of online
resources.
Lessons Learned
• Thorough monitoring should be conducted to further check the status of
Learning Resources
• Communication channels between LR Office, PSDSs/ DICs to the School heads
and teachers should be strengthened.
• Proper reporting of books (excess, condemnation and replacements) should be
observed.
• Re-orientation of the LR Portal to the teachers, and school heads should be
conducted.
• No textbooks must be placed inside the Library or the LRC.
• Monitoring should not be limited to the utilization of books but also with the
utilization of Non-text Learning Materials.
