Main Question:
-How we will help Transferees and Returning
Students deal anxiety inside UCU?
Purpose:
-To make curriculum more responsive to the
experience and belief to our students.
With a commitment to supporting more
equitable relationship between old and
new students.
Statement of the problem
• What is the profile of the respondents in terms of;
Course: Sex: Age: Previous school (transferees students):
School year attended: Reasons why did they stop
(retuning students):

• To what extent does anxiety affect respondents’


performance and experience in school?

• What are some motivations of reducing anxiety, and how


effective are they for increasing students’ academic
achievement?

Result and Discussion
Summary
• Most of the respondents were under the college
of education dominated by female whose ages
19-24 years old. Most of transferees’ students
came from inside of Pangasinan that attended
last school year 2015-2016. Majority of the
returning students stopped learning due to
financial problem.
• Most of the respondents having anxiety because
of intimidating instructors that affect their
performance and experience inside the campus.
• Majority of the respondents motivated by their
family to reduce their anxiety to increase their
academic achievements.
Conclusion
• Majority of female students experienced
anxiety when they are transferring to a new
school.
• Financial problem is one of the major cases
of some student why they stop their learning.
• Intimidating instructor is one of the reason
why students having their anxiety.
• Family is of the best motivation of the
respondents to reduce their anxiety for
increasing their academic achievements.
Recommendation
• The transferees and returning students should attend
the orientations and seminars related in anxiety for
them to gain more knowledge and help them to
improve their performance.
• Teachers should be aware that most female students
experience anxiety that can affect their academic
attainment.
• Guidance counselor should advise transferees and
returning students by giving orientation for the
students to overcome their anxiety and be confident
enough by motivating them about their family and life
goals.
